Getting to know me...part two!

Hello again!

I know it’s been a while since my first blog but it’s been a hectic week or two! 

I guess it’s just that time of the year!

As you get to know me, you will realise I am VERY into décor…French countryside shabby chic type décor, to be exact.  I love the worn out, country style look.

The florals, stripes, polka dots and faded fabrics.  The roses, the lavenders and pretty florals.  The old furniture, painted to death by many layers of interesting colours. 

The photo frames, made from old skirting boards and too, layered by years of paint.  And last but not least….a bit of bling, a bit of silver, gold and a

chandelier or two!

I consider myself a closet interior decorator….I have just never gotten round to any formal training…..in fact never gotten round to any decorating apart from my own home, I guess! I love, love, love interiors and that is partly what this blog is all about – for me to express my love for decorating….amongst other things too!

(I’m a closet photographer too…but more about that later!)

I buy the magazines, I surf the internet, I watch the Home Channel and am truly inspired!  I am forever busy with something in my home, but never have enough time to get to do it all!  Sigh…one day!

Getting to know me....getting to know all about me!

Hello there!

Wow - this is my very first blog! Wish me luck....

I guess my first few blogs are going to be getting to know me and my likes and loves in life!

Let me start off with my family....I am married to Ronnie and we have two beautiful sons, Luke and James. Luke is 9 and Jamie (that what we call him....but when he is in serious trouble, it's James!) is 3 and they all bring me such joy and happiness!

We are about to add another member to the family in December....a little rescued Jack Russell. Her name is Candy and I cannot wait.....another female in the house.....thank goodness! Secretly, I yearn for a daughter....I guess she will be a good replacement!

We are ex-Capetonians living in Johannesburg, but I must confess, my heart belongs back home! What must be for now, must be! But I must tell you, I'm counting the days til we down in Cape Town for the Christmas holidays!

Anyway, that's just a little about me and my family for now!

PS....Don't worry...we'll get to the nice stuff soon and please forgive me, my blog design is not quite to where I want it to be... there will therefore be some more changes as we go along...I just have a lot to learn! Ciao.
